According to Cars Direct, the Jetta is powered by one of three different engines, a modest 115-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, a lively 180-hp 1.8-liter turbo four-cylinder, and finally for those looking for maximum fuel economy a 100-hp 1.9L TDI diesel engine. Depending on the engine, buyers can also choose between four different transmission types; five-speed or six-speed manual, and either a four-speed or five speed automatic. AM/FM CD player with 8 speakers, air-conditioning, cruise control, tilt/telescoping steering wheel, keyless entry, power windows and door locks, are all standard conveniences on the Jetta. Electronic Stabilization Program (ESP) with brake assist is optional on all models.
